RLF's Six Year Anniversary

When we started RLF six years ago, like most small farms it was just a hobby.  The first two years that was how we thought of it.  The second two years we thought that maybe we could make a viable business out of this, but the last two years we have realized that may not be possible.  The farm has never been profitable, and we can no longer afford to subsidize it ourselves.

If we want to continue the farm next year, we must treat it like a business this year and charge the actual cost of production.  That is going to mean a significant price increase, around double current prices.

Quality food, that can be considered medicine, is laborious thus expensive to produce.  We raise our food this way because we believe the energy and intention that goes into your food makes a difference.  We promote life on our farm with regenerative practices instead of attempting to eradicate it with degenerative toxins.  I think that most of our customers believe this way as well and hopefully they can continue to support our farm.

We believe that freedom starts with food.  We will continue to raise our own food and advocate for local food in different ways.   Raising our prices will tell us if any of our products are worth raising this way for our local community.
